NH Hotel Group
The partnership between Covivio (via its subsidiary Covivio Hotels) and NH Hotel Group began in 2014 with the acquisition of the Amsterdam NH City Center. Covivio currently owns 19 NH hotels representing 6% of the group’s 316-strong portfolio and 3,028 rooms.
International group
Founded in the late 1970s in Spain, NH Hotel Group is now an international hotel operator belonging to the Minor Hotels group operating hotels located in major city centres.
Covivio owns assets operated by NH Hotel Group, located in Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic and France (Nice).
Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel
In 2020 with the acquisition of the Nice Plaza, Covivio committed to an ambitious programme of alterations, as well as a change of operator in order to reposition this historic establishment dating back to 1848. The late 2022 opening of the Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel marked the culmination of this major project. It is the first establishment in France to fly the Anantara flag, a five-star hotel brand originating in Asia that has now spread its wings all over the world.
Located in the city centre, 15 minutes from Nice International Airport and overlooking the Promenade des Anglais and seafront, the Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel offers 151 rooms including 38 suites, most of which have a terrace or balcony with sea view, as well as multiple services.
This opening is a great source of pride for Covivio. Transforming the hotel offering, reinventing historic buildings and helping leading operators expand their business in Europe in order to meet the needs of travellers are strategic objectives for Covivio. The Anantara Plaza Nice Hotel is a perfect illustration of this.
