A Compliance approach built on four pillars
Wishing to deploy exemplary Compliance practices and processes, Covivio chose to build an organisation and tools adapted to the challenges specific to its activity.
Several levers and tools for efficient and shared Compliance
The Charter defines the ethical rules and principles that all employees must apply in their professional practices and their behaviour towards all of their stakeholders. Attached to the company’s internal rules, it is binding on all employees. Read Ethics Charter in Italian.read ethics charter in English
The Group Compliance Officer
The Group Compliance Officer coordinates the European-level Compliance activity by relying on local offices. He is responsible for the company’s compliance with the applicable ethical principles and regulations (particularly regarding prevention of corruption risks, money laundering, personal data protection, etc.).
The Ethics Officer
He advises employees regarding conflicts of interest, compliance with the gift policy and stock market regulations. He reports only to the CEO and has a duty of confidentiality regarding information sent to him.
The whistleblowing system
Numerous offences are likely to be covered by the whistleblowing system: crime or misdemeanour, serious and clear violation of a national or international regulation, serious threat or damage to the general interest, etc. It also allows breaches in the principles set out in the Ethics Charter and, more generally, in the following areas, to be reported: finance, accounting, banking, the fight against corruption, breach of competition law, the fight against workplace discrimination and harassment, etc. The whistleblowing system is available to all Covivio employees and stakeholders.
